El Maestro Deepak Sharma, nace para descubrir que a su escasa edad de 7 años se dedicaría a una de sus mas grandes pasiones como lo es la acuarela. Podemos decir con toda certeza que al ver a una gran maestro de su tierra trabajar esta maravillosa y complicada técnica, se apasionaría tanto que desde esa temprana edad lo visualizó como su modo de vida, expresando sus ideas y sentimientos a través del paisaje. En su entrega y dedicación a tal oficio, demuestra sus capacidades como artista empleando otros medios entre ellos el Lápiz grafito, el Carboncillo el Pastel entre otros, con gran maestría y profesionalismo que lo ha caracterizado como embajador en su país, mostrando al mundo su talentosa virtud y su maravillosa obra desde su Región. Su proceso que lo ha llevado a la perfección de dicho medio superando todas dificultades de ejecución haciéndola una técnica a la que pocos logran llegar, le ha permitido alcanzar importantes premios y reconocimientos en su país y en el mundo. Que más gratificante y emocionante, que escuchar y leer su historia en palabras del mismo artista:
"Desde muy niño he
estado pintando. Cuando tenía siete años, vi que uno de mis amigos era muy
bueno en el arte y pensó que yo también podría convertirme en artista algún
día. Una de mis maestras de escuela, la Sra. Sudha Jha, que me enseñó inglés,
vio mi dibujo y me animó a aprender arte. Ella me aconsejó que me apuntara a
clases de arte. Aunque al principio mi padre no estaba a favor de que estudiara
arte, mi madre me apoyó totalmente. Era un buen estudiante en la escuela, pero
después de que comencé mis clases de arte, mis estudios escolares sufrieron...
Estaba más interesado en las clases de arte. Como resultado, me metí en
problemas con mis padres. Sin embargo, tanto mi maestro de arte, el Sr. Tapan
Das como su esposa, mi maestra de clase, la Sra. Sapna Das me apoyaron y
convencieron a mis padres para que me dejaran continuar con las clases de arte.
En el momento en que estudiaba en la escuela Kendra Vidyalaya, la escuela
empleó a una nueva profesora de arte llamada Sra. Ratna Mala. Ella me enseñó
muchas cosas relacionadas con el arte y cómo unirme al collage de arte... fue
un gran apoyo para mí.
Más tarde tuve la suerte de
entrar en contacto con otro maestro, el conocido artista: Sr. Praveen
Karmakar. Me enseñó los conceptos básicos de la pintura con acuarela. Al
principio estaba lleno de miedo porque la acuarela no es un medio fácil de
manejar. Es impredecible y difícil de manejar... así que al principio hice más
arte usando medios crudos como óleos, acrílicos y lápiz, carboncillo, etc. Por
casualidad me encontré con el libro del Sr. Milind Mulick sobre pintura en
acuarela. Al principio pensé que sería fácil seguir lo que él había mostrado en
su libro... parecía tan fácil... pero eso no era cierto para mí... de todos
modos, comencé a hacer acuarelas pero siempre sentí que no conseguía nada. Sin
embargo, mis maestros sentían que lo estaba haciendo muy bien... probablemente
porque en ese momento aún no había entendido de qué se trataba realmente la
pintura con acuarela. Aprendí mucho observando al Sr. Milind Mulick, quien es,
como dije antes, un maestro de renombre mundial y la aportación que puso en mi
vida ha hecho una enorme diferencia.
Antes de eso, cuando todavía estaba en la escuela, obtuve el diploma de cinco años en pintura y obtuve muchos premios prestigiosos. En un concurso de pintura de toda la India me concedieron una medalla de oro. También gané algunos premios a nivel estatal. Esta parte de mi viaje artístico se llevó a cabo hasta el momento en que alcancé el grado 12."
Master Deepak Sharma, was born to discover that at his young age of 7 years he would dedicate himself to one of his greatest passions such as watercolor. We can say with certainty that seeing a great master from her land work this wonderful and complicated technique, she would be so passionate that from that early age she visualized it as her way of life, expressing her ideas and feelings through the landscape. In his delivery and dedication to such a trade, he demonstrates his abilities as an artist using other media, including graphite pencil, charcoal, pastel, among others, with great mastery and professionalism that has characterized him as an ambassador in his country, showing the world his talented virtue and his marvelous work from his Region. His process, which has led him to the perfection of this medium, overcoming all execution difficulties, making it a technique that few manage to reach, has allowed him to achieve important awards and recognitions in his country and in the world. What more rewarding and exciting than listening and reading his story in the words of the artist himself:
"Since childhood I have been painting. When I was seven years old I saw that one of my friends was very good at art and thought that I too would be able to become an artist one day. One of my school teachers, Ms Sudha Jha, who taught me English saw my drawing and encouraged me to learn art. She advised me to join art classes. Although in the beginning my father was not in favour of my studying art, my mother fully supported me. I was a good student at school but after I started my art classes my school studies suffered...I was more interested in the art classes. As a result, I got into trouble with my parents. However, both my art master, Mr. Tapan Das and his wife, my class teacher, Ms. Sapna Das supported me and convinced my parents to let me continue art classes. At the time I was studying in Kendra Vidyalaya the school and the school employed a new art teacher named Ms.Ratna Mala. She taught me many things relating to art and how to go about joining art collage .. ..she was a great support to me.
Later I was fortunate to come into contact with another master, the well-known artist, Mr. Praveen Karmakar. He taught me the basics of watercolour painting. At the start, l was full of fear because watercolor is not an easy medium to handle. It is unpredictable and difficult to handle..so in the beginning I did more of art using raw medium like oils, acrylics and pencil, charcoal, etc.. By chance I came across Mr Milind Mulick's book on watercolor painting . At first I thought it would be easy to follow what he had shown in his book... it seemed so easy ..but that was not true for me.. anyway, I started doing watercolor paintings but always felt I was getting nowhere. However, my teachers felt I was doing great... that was probably because I had not yet understood that time what watercolor painting was really all about. I learned a lot by watching Mr. Milind Mulick ,who is , as I said earlier, ia world renowned master and the input he put into my life has made an enormous difference.
Before that, while still in school, I did a five-year diploma in painting and I was awarded many prestigious awards. In an all- India painting competition I was awarded a gold medal. I also won a few State level awards. This part of my art journey took place upto the time I reached 12th standard."

The Master usually performs his works outdoors, where he
shares his knowledge with the inhabitants of his environment and at a
competition level with other great artists. He develops his teaching workshops
in his private workshop and field trips with his apprentices. His works in
different formats up to a sheet size, show the skill, dexterity and talent in
the quality of his finishes, using dry watercolor and wet technique, one of the
most demanding expressions, where spontaneity arises to generate the effects
that to its perception generate visual and emotional impacts.
